Treatments

  • NEUROMUSCULAR - is a technique that involves the release (relaxation) of deep muscle tissue. It is used to locate and release spasms and contractions in the tissues; eliminate trigger points that cause referred pain; restore flexibility to the tissues and rebuild the strength of injured tissues. NMT utilizes gliding, direct pressure, skin rolling, and stretching to assist muscles in relaxation.

  • INTEGRATED MASSAGE- a combination of swedish, deep tissue, sports, stretching, neuromuscular, reflexology, cranial sacral and moist heat or cold packs. (most popular)

  • SWEDISH- long flowing gentle strokes (total relaxation) great for flushing out toxins and lightly stretching the muscle tissue.

  • DEEP TISSUE-same as swedish but much deeper pressure.

  • IONIC FOOT BATH- detoxifies the body through the skin

  • SPORTS MASSAGE- A combination of techniques that focus mainly on the areas of the body a person uses a lot. A cyclist’s sports massage concentrates on the legs, a tennis player’s on the upper body. Often uses deep pressure ( but should not be painful. It can be done at anytime, but most therapists say you will recover more quickly if the massage is done within one to three hours of your workout.

  • PREGNANCY MASSAGE-a specially designed soothing massage for the expectant mother. The focus is on relaxing and comforting the lower back and legs to improve circulation relax the body and mind. Leaving our “mother-to-be” feeling refreshed and ready for her new role in life.

  • ON-SITE CHAIR MASSAGE- Recipient is seated and fully clothed; no oil is used. Massage focuses on upper body-head, shoulders, back, arms and addresses common problems of today's workers; lasts 10-20 minutes and can be given at the workstation or in any available small space

  • HOSPICE AND ELDER MASSAGE - a soothing massage is performed at the patient's home for people nearing the end of their journey. My past work as a Certified Nursing Assistant gives me the skills and experience to work in a variety of situations.

  • AROMATHERAPY- essential oils that can be applied directly on to the skin or in the air. If you are sensitive to scents please let us know before your appointment!
